As of Friday, September 18, 2026, the alpha version of psycheDB has gone live. Months of work have culminated in this first version of the website. It is by no means complete, but I believe it is ready for the initial testing phase.
I started this project out of a personal interest in the topic. There are several related websites out there, and I encourage everyone to visit them, as each of them is valuable in its own right. However, they never fully satisfied my curiosity.
The vast amount of information on psychoactive compounds is scattered across books, websites, and scientific publications. As a result, it can be difficult to understand how these compounds act and behave within the body, as well as how they relate to one another.
That is why I set out to build what I would like to see in the world: a library of psychoactive compounds organized in a way that makes their interconnectedness easier to understand. I hope psycheDB can be useful to others who share an interest in this field.
The amount of information is far too extensive for one person to validate everything independently. I therefore do not claim complete accuracy or completeness, although I have tried to source the information as carefully as possible. This is also why I rely on readers like you for feedback. If you find any incorrect or misleading information, or if you have any other comments, please let me know via email or the contact form.
There are still many compounds that are not yet part of the database, and they will be added over time. Many more features are also planned for the future, so stay tuned, and don’t drop out just yet! ;-)
